Impact Theatre Atlanta is holding auditions for Yellowman by Dael Orlandersmith
 
Monday September 1st between 5pm and 9pm
 
Seeking :

Alma:   large (but in proportion), medium brown complexion, strong featured - age: 25-43             (plays ages 7 – 43)
Eugene: tall, almost feminine-featured, light skinned man – age: 27- 48    (plays ages 9 – 48)
 
Auditions will be at the Academy Theatre – Hapeville.  Located at 599 N. Central Ave. | Hapeville, GA 30354.  On street parking is available.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Ø  If you have not been seen by the director before, please prepare a contemporary monologue.
Ø  In addition to sides being available at the audition, they will also be available electronically once appointments are scheduled
Ø  Please bring a headshot/resume and your calendar with you to the audition.
 
 
Production Dates
Production previews: October 29 & 30;
Opens: November 1 and runs through November 16
Rehearsals begin: October 1.
 
Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2:30pm.  Note: On Saturday November 15th the performance will be a matinee rather than an evening show.  
 
Pay
Actors receive a stipend.
 
Info about the Show
YELLOWMAN is a two character play where the actors play several characters.  The play takes place in the Gullah community in 1960s South Carolina and follows the relationship of Alma, a large dark-skinned Black woman, and Eugene, a fair-skinned, Black man through their youth and addresses internal racism within the Black community.
